Helping Others Providing Essentials
At Coastal Bend Family Worship Center, our H.O.P.E. Ministry is dedicated to showing the love of Jesus in practical ways.
Through Helping Others and Providing Essentials, we meet the physical and spiritual needs of our community — offering food, clothing, and care to those in need. Every act of kindness opens the door for people to experience God’s grace and hope.

Matt & Lori Karnes
On October 1, 2017, Lori and I were at the Route 91 Country Music Festival in Las Vegas when the unthinkable happened. As bullets rained down, I covered my wife and felt an unseen force holding us down until it was safe to move. God’s protection that night was undeniable, but afterward, I struggled deeply with survivor’s guilt and questions of purpose—wondering why He spared me and what He wanted me to do with my life. Years later, after moving to Texas, we met a man named Dustin at the Harley-Davidson shop in Corpus Christi. He invited us to Coastal Bend Family Worship Center in Aransas Pass—just two blocks from our home. From our first visit, we knew we had found our church family. Still searching for a way to serve, Lori and I began talking with Pastor Aaron and Bobbie about how we could help meet needs in the community. What started as a simple idea to provide school supplies and clothing for local children soon grew into something bigger—H.O.P.E. Resource Center. Though still in its early stages, our prayer is that H.O.P.E. will continue to grow and make a lasting impact on our community.
