Our heart is to create a place where everyone feels seen, known, and loved, no matter where they’ve been or where they’re headed. Our logo, inspired by the iconic Cheers design, reminds us of something powerful: “Where everybody knows your name.” We believe church should be just that, a place where you are known, welcomed, and valued.

Meet Pastor Aaron & Bobbie Jayne

Aaron has been at Coastal Bend Family since July 2, 1989 when his dad became pastor. Aaron met his wife Bobbie at a community Good Friday Service in March 1991. While dating, Aaron responded to the call of God on his life and made sure Bobbie knew what she was getting into when he proposed, and she still said, yes! They married on December 31, 1992.

After a few attempts at regular jobs, an opportunity opened in September 1993 to become the youth leader. The pay was aweful(lol) and they ate a lot of grilled cheese and ramen noodles! He was ordained in 1997 and became the Associate Pastor, assisting his dad in ministry.

As youth pastor, Aaron would minister to over 250 teens on any given Wednesday night! His passion was to love the unlovable and the disreputable that no one else wanted. That same passion still drives him to this day.

After 22yrs as pastor, Aaron’s dad who had been pastor for 22 years made a transition in ministry to become the District Bishop of their denomination, resulting in a relocation to San Marcos, Texas. On October 31, 2011, the mantle of pastor was passed to Aaron to become the next pastor.

Since 2011, a lot has changed at Coastal Bend Family to create an environment where no matter people’s past, or how imperfect they are …everyone is welcome!

Not only has Aaron and Bobbie served in ministry at this very church for over 33 years; in the same way Aaron assisted his dad, his own adult children and their spouses now serve in some capacity in ministry as well.

Aaron and Bobbie are the first to admit they’re not perfect—but that’s what makes them so real! Their down-to-earth hearts and real approach to ministry is what makes Coastal Bend Family the perfect place for you!
